1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bald Eagle Safaris website and services. By booking a safari with us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Booking and Payment
Reservation Process
- A booking is confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit
- Deposit: 30% of total trip cost at time of booking
- Final balance: Due 60 days before departure
- Bookings made within 60 days require full payment
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Bank transfer (preferred)
- Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
- PayPal
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds are calculated as follows:
- More than 90 days before departure: Full refund minus $100 administration fee
- 60-90 days before departure: 70% refund
- 30-59 days before departure: 50% refund
- 15-29 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund
We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
4. Changes to Bookings
Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Changes requested within 30 days of departure may be treated as cancellations.
5. What's Included
Unless otherwise specified, our safari packages typically include:
- Airport transfers
- All park and conservation fees
- Accommodation as specified
- Meals as specified in itinerary
- Professional English-speaking guide
- Safari vehicle with driver
- Bottled water during game drives
6. What's Not Included
Unless otherwise specified, the following are not included:
- International flights
- Visa fees
- Travel insurance
- Tips and gratuities
- Personal expenses
- Optional activities
- Alcoholic beverages
- Laundry services
7. Travel Documents
You are responsible for:
- Valid passport (6+ months validity, 2 blank pages)
- Required visas
- Vaccination certificates (Yellow Fever if required)
- Travel insurance documents
8. Health and Safety
Tanzania requires Yellow Fever vaccination if arriving from endemic countries. We recommend consulting a travel health specialist at least 6 weeks before departure. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly advised.
You must inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements that may affect your safari experience.
9. Liability
Bald Eagle Safaris acts as an agent for transportation, accommodation, and activity providers. While we carefully select our partners, we cannot be held liable for:
- Acts of third-party service providers
- Force majeure events (weather, natural disasters, civil unrest)
- Personal injury or property loss during activities
- Flight delays or cancellations
10. Itinerary Changes
Safari itineraries are subject to change due to weather, wildlife movements, road conditions, or other factors. We reserve the right to modify itineraries to ensure your safety and best possible experience.
11. Wildlife Sightings
We cannot guarantee specific wildlife sightings. Africa's wildlife is wild and unpredictable. Our experienced guides will do their best to provide exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.
12. Photography
We may use photos taken during your safari for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
13. Code of Conduct
Guests are expected to:
- Follow guide instructions at all times
- Respect wildlife and maintain safe distances
- Respect local communities and cultures
- Minimize environmental impact
- Refrain from littering in parks
14. Complaints
If you have concerns during your safari, please raise them immediately with your guide or our office. This allows us to address issues promptly. Written complaints should be submitted within 28 days of return.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Arusha, Tanzania.
