Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. VIP transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge, a colonial-era plantation converted into a boutique hotel. Relax in the gardens, enjoy afternoon tea, and prepare for tomorrow's flight into the wild.
Day 2: Fly to Singita Grumeti
Morning flight over the Great Rift Valley and into the western Serengeti. Your plane lands on a private airstrip in the Grumeti Reserve. A Singita vehicle meets you, and game drives begin immediately. Settle into your villa overlooking the river.
Day 3: Grumeti - Private Reserve
Full day exploring the private 350,000-acre Grumeti Reserve. With only Singita guests allowed, you'll never see another vehicle. Your guide tailors the day to your interests - big cats, birds, or photography. Lunch can be anywhere - under a tree, by the river, in a secluded valley.
Day 4: Migration & Conservation
Morning game drive following the migration (seasonal) or exploring the Grumeti River where huge crocodiles lurk. Afternoon visit to Singita's renowned conservation program - learn about anti-poaching efforts and community initiatives. Wine tasting in the cellar before dinner.
Day 5: Walking Safari & Night Drive
Experience the Serengeti on foot with an armed guide. Walking reveals details invisible from a vehicle - tracks, insects, the texture of baobab bark. After dark, a night drive reveals a different world: hyenas on the hunt, aardvarks, and owls.
Day 6: Final Game Drive & Departure
Last sunrise game drive, perhaps catching a lion pride returning from a night hunt. Return to the lodge for brunch, then board your flight back to Arusha connecting to your international departure. Travel exhausted but deeply satisfied.
