Lemosho Route FAQs
How hard is the Lemosho Route?
Moderate difficulty. The Barranco Wall is the most technical section (Class 2 scramble). Daily walking is 4-7 hours. Good fitness needed but no mountaineering experience required.
Why does Lemosho have such a high success rate?
The 7-8 day itinerary provides more acclimatization days than shorter routes. The "climb high, sleep low" profile on Day 4 is particularly effective.
Is 7 days or 8 days better for Lemosho?
8 days is ideal — it adds an extra acclimatization day. The 7-day version works for fit, well-acclimatized climbers. We recommend 8 days for maximum success.
